Description
A promo illustration from my game-in-progress "Schwarzerblitz" (Black Lightning), showing the eight playable characters currently available (of about twenty planned). The game is nearing its alpha release and it's currently in development! You can see more on this Youtube playlist which contains work-in-progress videos and snapshots of both the characters and the stages!
And now, here you are a brief description for each one!
First row, from the left:
"Mystery" Johnson, a man with no face and a troubled past connected to the "Schwarzerblitz" experiment. Nobody can remember his likeness and he's commonly referred as "The Man with the Hat". His fighting style is based on fast revolving kicks which can be chained seamlessy together.
Tiger Sambiong, an antropomorphic tiger from Malaysia, born as a result of the "Schwarzerblitz" experiment. He's now a permanent member of the Pan-European Army and the leader of the Delta Team, specialized in retrieving mutated beings and help them starting a "normal" life. He is rumored to have an affair with Amy. He uses plenty of acrobatic moves, with an emphasis on side rolls and evasion moves.
Graf Shabeel, a mechanical clone of Tiger built in order to stop him from messing with the now defunct "Schwarzerblitz" project . He has no feelings, he just follows orders obeying to his creators. His style is reminiscent of Tiger's, with additions of extending punches and other tricks that only a mechanical body can provide.
H-168 Krave, a killer robot built by the same creators of Graf. Krave is the most politically incorrect piece of metallic scrap who ever walked the Earth, always taunting opponents and wearing them down with insults. Its personality has been the indirect results of letting internet users train its AI like a normal chatbot. However, the chief of the research team found this twist amusing and let Krave mantain its loud personality. Used as a shock weapon, Krave is armed with driller punches and flexible joints to assume several different stances.

Shaz Aliart, an old star of a series of movies, genetically engineered from the research team of the entertainment colossus "RealLifeAnime". Shaz is not connected with "Schwarzerblitz" and just wants to live a quiet life, spending his evenings between a beer and another beer. Unfortunately for him, he has some score to settle with law enforcement, due to some past crimes he committed. He's a pub brawler who uses mostly punches, headbutts, and wide slaps.
Aylin Mary Yang, or Amy as she prefers being called, is a cheerful chinese girl with Swedish ancestry. She is actively being guarded by Tiger, but the reasons for this assignment are currently top-secret. She is deeply compassionate about all living beings, but she can't stand Cyphr in the slightest. She practices a style known as "flowing waterfall dance", with reminescences of kung fu.
Cyphr Wolfchild, a German girl who was harvested for organs when she was still a child, now in force to the Pan-European Army. Cyphr is the only daughter of the famous bounty hunter known as "Der Wolf". She changed her surname to reflect this bond with her mother, just before joining the Delta Team. Extremely loyal to her commander Tiger, she can't stand Amy (who she calls with the unflattering appellation of "furry-lover" or "beastie girl"). Having no arms, Cyphr relies only on her kicks to give a good deal of punishment to her opponents, moving with elegance and grace, but being brutally effective when needed.
"Skeleton" Skallen, a French mercenary/bounty hunter who was involved in the so-called "Euterpe disaster", in which one million people lost their lives. He's on a hunt for "The Man with the Hat", who seems inturn to have a connection to the cause of the disaster. Largely antagonistic against the Delta Team, he's able to shot purple energy projectiles from his hands, making him a difficult opponent to handle.

Assolutamente Aylin Mary Yang! Anche se la "germanese" XD ha un design particolare. Ma quel vestito verde è aperto li come vedo? No comunque Amy è forse il personaggio, a mio avviso, più interessante. Nella tua descrizione hai messo che il suo ruolo è top-secret e questo gli da ancora più mistero. Come character design i personaggi sono notevoli come soprattutto è notevole il lavoro messo su. Ho visto i video e devo dirti anzi te lo ridico di nuovo, è fenomenale. Un conto è moddare un qualcosa già pronto un conto è partire da zero. Una nota è l'involucro della fisica e dei danni che devono subire che ha ogni personaggio. In un 2D sarebbe stato una superficie rettangolare qui... Immagino lo sbattimento... non sono cubi come un carro armato. E immagino anche il lavoro dietro all'equilibrio di difficoltà! Hai pensato a Xnalara, prendi dei manichini 3D già pronti inclusi i bones, e li modifichi qua e la con la meshatura?
